Bringing warmth, insight, and a real passion for helping others, Jaideep supports schools, trusts, and candidates through training, onboarding, and day-to-day queries. With a background in healthcare and a talent for connecting with people, she brings empathy and clarity to every conversation.
Whether she’s leading an implementation call, collaborating with the dev team, or enjoying a walk through Wrest Park, Jaideep is driven by making a genuine difference in education—and always has a checklist (and cup of tea) close by to keep things running smoothly.
What does a typical day in your role look like?
No two days are exactly the same, but there are definitely some regular features! I usually start by getting prepped for any training sessions coming up – these are often walkthroughs with schools or trusts to introduce them to our platform and make sure they’re getting the most out of it.
I have a mix of training calls, check-ins, and time spent on live chat, emails, and the phone — basically being there to support schools, trusts, and candidates with whatever they need.
I also work closely with the sales team to help onboard new schools and trusts, and with the dev team to share feedback or ideas that come up from users. It’s great to be part of that collaboration and see how everything fits together.
One of the highlights of my day is my lunchtime walk in Wrest Park, and there’s always plenty of tea on the go to keep me powered through the day!
How did you get started in this industry?
I actually started out in healthcare. I love working with people and helping them reach their goals – something that still carries through in what I do now.
I first came across MyNewTerm years ago when Wayne had just started out. He made such a strong impression that I remembered both him and the company clearly. So when I saw they were recruiting, I didn’t hesitate – I knew I had to apply. It felt like a great fit, combining my passion for helping others with a new challenge in the education and tech space.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
For me, the most rewarding part is knowing that I’m genuinely helping people. I love sharing the platform with schools and trusts, and it’s amazing to see how much of a difference it can make, not just for them, but for the candidates too.
I recently attended an ECT conference, and it really hit home how much impact we have. We’re not just supporting teachers, we’re helping candidates in all kinds of education roles, from cleaners and midday supervisors to admin staff and beyond. And at the same time, we’re making it easier for schools to find the right people and saving them so much time, too.
It’s a real win-win, and it feels great to be part of something that truly supports the whole education community.
What’s your go-to productivity hack or tool?
I’d swap with someone on the dev team. I’ve always been curious about how everything works behind the scenes – how features are built, how bugs are fixed, and how all the different parts of the platform connect. It would be great to understand the logic and thought process that goes into making things run so smoothly. I love seeing how things work, and spending a day in their shoes would definitely give me a new perspective.
And of course, regular cups of tea (maybe with a sneaky biscuit) and a walk at lunchtime definitely help keep the brain fresh and ready for the next task!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“Just be yourself.”
It sounds so simple, but it’s made a big difference. Whether I’m running a training session, chatting with schools, or supporting candidates, I’ve learned that being genuine goes a long way. People respond to authenticity, and showing up as yourself builds trust, makes conversations easier, and just feels better all around.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a fully qualified reflexologist and Reiki practitioner! It’s something I’ve been passionate about for years. I love being able to help people feel more balanced and relaxed. Whether it’s through neuroscience and holistic therapy, or by supporting schools and candidates, helping people is definitely the common thread in everything I do.
If you could swap jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be? (Internally)
I’d swap with someone on the dev team. I’ve always been curious about how everything works behind the scenes – how features are built, how bugs are fixed, and how all the different parts of the platform connect.
