Meet Louise Underwood | Customer Service Account Manager

Louise Underwood is a dedicated Customer Service Account Manager at MyNewTerm, known for her warm, supportive approach and genuine care for each school she works with. With over 15 years of experience in education, Louise made the leap into edtech to continue making a difference – this time through customer relationships and platform support.

What does a typical day in your role look like?
Training new trusts/schools, checking in with existing customers, answering emails, and answering the telephone.

How did you get started in this industry?
After working in various schools for 15 years, I needed a change. I still wanted to have something to do with education, but wasn’t sure what. I came across the role at MNT and, having been through the process as a candidate previously, I thought it would be a great place to work.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?
I love checking in with our customers and seeing how the platform has reformed their recruitment process and made their lives easier.

What’s your go-to productivity hack or tool?
Before my calls, I make sure I am comfy and set up with a cup of tea. Also – Crocs comfy feet make a happy Lou!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
As long as you have tried your best, nobody can ask more from you.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
 I love netball – I play, I umpire, I love going to see live games and also watching them on TV.
