With a new year starting, it is the perfect time to begin some new habits to help with getting the most out of MyNewTerm.
Here are 5 resolutions that you can start now to help increase candidate attraction and speed up your processes:
Refresh your careers page
If the text and photos on your careers page have been there since you first joined MyNewTerm, now is the perfect time to refresh the content. Think about using high-quality images that help to show the personality of your establishment. Also, make sure to mention any benefits you can offer to candidates. This will help you stand out from the crowd.
Add the live feed to your website
If you haven’t done so yet, make sure to add the live feed of vacancies to your school/trust website. The information for this can be shared by your MyNewTerm account manager. It is a great way of making sure your vacancies are up to date on your website. No need to add/remove any manually. This will happen automatically when you post a job at MyNewTerm.
Update candidate statuses
Candidates always appreciate a timely response to their application. Updating statuses on MyNewTerm is incredibly quick and easy to do. You can even update multiple candidates at once. January is also a great time to update any historic statuses to clear any actions from your action menu. Remember, you can update most of these without sending the candidate an email if they are from some time ago!
Download candidate documents
Candidate documents do not remain on your MyNewTerm account indefinitely. Application and reference forms are automatically removed after 12 months and criminal convictions declaration forms after 6 months. For candidates who have been offered a role, make sure you are downloading these to save in their candidate file. There is a download all documents option for each candidate which will speed up the process.
Keep an eye on ‘What’s New?’
For any new features launched at MyNewTerm, you will get a notification on your What’s New menu. This is where we will notify you of any smaller changes and updates. These changes will help to make your experience even better.
